Most
people, regardless of the size of their home, collect
materials, possessions and information until their
space is overflowing. This condition creeps up on us almost
without our knowing. We hang on to paper, purchase
things in duplicate, keep gifts we don’t use and take
on hand-me-downs from family and friends.
It takes vigilance to continuously
weed out the excess and say “No” to the things
you don’t need. It also requires knowledge--so
you know what to keep and what to let go. Any space,
big or small, will function efficiently if it’s well
organized. That
means:
Paring down clutter. Clutter can’t
be organized.
Creating clever
storage solutions. There are options for
every personal preference and lifestyle.
Utilizing the right
storage products. There are a wide choice
of items available to fit every budget, you may even
find containers already at hand.
Spending 10 minutes
per day to tidy things up. Organizing isn’t
a one time project—it’s a habit requiring
a few minutes every day.
Benefits of organizing your home.
Being organized
means you will:
Eliminate wasted
time and stress. You’ll have a convenient “home” for
all of your materials and possessions so you can
quickly access what you need when you need it.
Be able to plan/arrange/schedule
time for projects, self care, romance, friends
and family, personal growth, fun and recreation,
sleep, a break; whatever is important to you.
Save money by
not buying duplicates or paying late fees.
Feel a sense of
peace and lightness knowing you’re
in control of your time, thoughts and space.
Working together.
You may
expect that I’ll view your space, assess your
needs, and then
recommend a course of action. My goal will be your goal—to
create an efficiently organized and welcoming home. (If you are outside my
geographical reach you may snail mail or e-mail photos of your home.) There
are two ways we can work together.
On-site
organizing.
I will work directly with you to organize any part
of your home. We’ll pare down the clutter in
your closets, bedroom, kids’ room, kitchen, living
room, den, and/or home office. I’ll help you
organize belongings for convenient retrieval, decide
what to toss, what to keep and for how long, identify
the purpose(s) of each room, devise storage solutions
and assemble important papers into an efficient home
filing system.
Phone coaching.
This
arrangement is designed to keep you on track—while
you work on organizing your space step by step. During
the course of this program, I’ll guide and support
you by suggesting tasks, answering your questions and
helping you surpass challenges that may show up from
time to time. This program begins with an initial two
hour conference, followed by one-hour conferences at
the pace you set.
On-site
organizing guarantee.
I recommend you practice
the maintenance strategies that I share with you
for 21 consecutive days. Thereafter, I invite you
to evaluate the effectiveness of your newly organized
space by ANY criteria you choose. If you find that
any part of the organizing solution isn’t working
or meeting your needs, let me know and I will come
back, at no additional cost, and help you set up
a different system until your needs have been met.
Organizing is an investment
in your future, your peace of mind and a nominal cost considering
the dramatic, positive changes you will experience. Next,
